We are TTSWH40k, short for Tabletop Simulator Warhammer 40k. We are a Discord and Reddit community that acts as a hub for players looking to play Warhammer 40,000k on Tabletop Simulator. At our heart, we all share the love of the hobby in every shape in form. Are there any tabletop apps to allow you to play warhammer 40k with friends in other cities? Ask Question Asked 5 years, 1 month ago. The closest program that I can suggest for doing this is with Tabletop Simulator. In Warhammer 40k is it possible to have your army use vehicles from other factions?
Please avoid the following:.Content that does not relate to competitive play.Vague or click-baity titles.Advertisements of any kind (Talk to mods first).Patreon Links.Netlist or shopping list posts.Posts asking about counts-as, or proxy models that require a TO decision.Threads which offer speculation on rules that aren't currently released, or post 'what if' change questions.' What is the best loadout/X'.Image posts with no content.' Is X army/ unit good'Rule 5. List posting guidelines.Copy-pasting a list and asking for us to tell you it's competitive is wasting everyone's time. List posts should include the following minimum requirements:. a discussion of why you chose the units you chose.
what your game plan is. a description of your meta. An explanation of what specific advice you are seeking and what you want help with. Be formatted in a way that is easy to read at a glanceNot meeting these minimum requirements will get you a 24-hour warning ban.Rule 6. List post requirements - ask for specific feedbackThe Gatekeeping rule. This sub has a very narrow criteria for content and is actively curated. If you haven't put the list on the table at least a half-dozen times, you don't want help, you want someone to tell you what to do.
This is exactly the kind of post that belongs in.If you're not asking a specific question about a problem you're having in your meta and unable to write a paragraph or two about it, don't post your list here. Ban policyWe issue temporary bans instead of warnings. A ban is impossible to ignore and opens a direct line of communication to the mod inbox.Bans may be appealed through modmail.
In almost all instances, a temporary ban issued for content/post guideline infractions will be lifted as soon as a user acknowledges they've read the rules and understand the issue.Ban appeals for rule 1 that continue the behavior will be extended. 2nd infractions will be permanent.Rule 2 violations are ineligible.Reporting. We rely on the community to spotlight problematic posts and users for us, and encourage all users to use the report function and give as much information as possible. If reporting doesn’t allow for everything you have to say, a quick modmail with an explanation and a link to the post or comment will do nicely. We take all reports seriously. These guidelines are fluid, and will continue to change and expand as the sub does. What is competitive?Competitive play is, first and foremost, playing for the purpose of competing, often with the end goal of winning.Competitive play isn't about being a jerk to your opponent, or being unsportsmanlike, even though some people view it as such (both competitive players and players on the receiving end of competitive play styles). It's understanding and playing within a rule set and attempting to be as competitive as possible within that structure. To how that applies to this sub.To understand what the competitive mindset is all about, with this article that describes what playing to win is and isn't.
The article links to a book of the same name, which is available free on the website.Consider reading about rules lawyering, and understand how it is used in a competitive mindset. Warhammer Reddit DirectoryLooking for more of a certain thing? We've got you covered.

The reason I posted here is because Tabletop Simulator is a great tool for practicing for competitive because you can always test out new Units on TTS without having to buy the physical model. Too many times in my early days of 40k I would think some unit was really strong so I would buy multiples only to discover they aren't as good as I originally thought.
Using this program with a friend or against a random person online you can test out units you don't own before you spend your hard earned money on them.TLDR: A very good program for testing units you don't own before you spend money on them.
